It’s early and a day later. The hard work from yesterday sets the mood for a relaxing, creative and fun day, today we start constructing the new deck.

Mud Porch Project- cement work

It’s been a couple of days since the last of the deconstruction took place. In that time several things happened, for the most part regrouping. Regrouping usually involves, cleaning up debris and tools, reorganizing material and figuring out what’s next and what you’ll need to get it done.

Mud Porch Project- electrical work

The first thing to do was to remove the electrical service panel from the interior of the mud porch. You can see the front of the panel laying on the floor up against the wall.

Mud Porch Project- from the start

Everybody is happy before this project gets started, although I’m not sure if Molly is happier than me. Looks like one of us might be a bit compromised but believe me, we are not.

The brass nameplate on the new front screen door seems appropriate, “Bless This Old House” but it fails to mention the rest of the story because… “This old house needs a lot of work”.
